"It brings tears to my eyes when asked what Kids Incorporated has done for me. Maybe a better question is what haven’t they done? At a point in my life when I was at my lowest, I was pregnant and had a 1-year-old child. They provided me with prenatal care and child care. My prenatal counselor was always there to provide me with the help I needed, whether it was information about the pregnancy, a ride to a doctor’s appointment, or just a friendly face when I felt down and out. On top of that, the family services counselor was always there for me. At times when I didn’t have food or clothes, he provided me with the information I needed to be able to stand on my own two feet and help myself. He referred me to ECHO, Jubilee Job Link, Big Bend, Goodwill, and DCF.

The staff at the child care center has always done a good job in giving my children a safe environment. I feel like I can trust my children’s teachers and it makes it that much easier to drop them off and head to work. And speaking of work, I would not be able to have a job at all if it weren’t for the affordable child care that the Budd Bell Early Learning Center provides. I have been working and going to school ever since my children started attending child care and I’ve worked at several jobs but each time, something would go wrong. The staff provided support for me and gave me just enough motivation and just enough time to get back on track. Recently all my hard work and their motivation paid off. I landed a decent job at a doctor’s office and I am attending school. I have transportation and I plan on getting off government assistance as soon as possible. I could not have done it without the staff at Budd Budd Early Learning Center. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to every single one of them that made it all possible."
