Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an important part of Kids Incorporated's programs and services. From volunteers who read to children in child care settings once a week or once a month to volunteers who help with hands-on activities at community events, volunteers play an important role at Kids Incorporated.
All volunteers must participate in a one-hour orientation session and those who wish to work directly with children must undergo a local background screening. Volunteers may participate in an many hours, or as few, as they wish; there is no minimum requirement.
If you are interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities with Kids Incorporated, please call 414-9800 and ask for the Volunteer Coordinator or email atinfo@kidsincorporated.org. Additional volunteers are always welcome and appreciated.

Adopt A Preschool
Kids Incorporated’s Adopt a Preschool program puts smiles on children’s faces through partnerships between preschools and organizations and businesses. Most preschools only earn enough money to pay for the basics (small salaries, rent, utilities, etc.) . There is little left over for “extras” such as books, materials for special activities and field trips. That’s where Adopt a Preschool can help! Through Kids Incorporated’s Adopt a Preschool program, organizations are encouraged to have volunteers read to the children once a week. Once a month they prepare and conduct appropriate children’s activities or host a party or field trip. Organizations are also invite to donate books, toys, videos or perhaps help clean up the playground area as a special project. Kids Incorporated will match you with a preschool program in your area.
