Thanks to all who joined us for the 16th Annual Kidsfest on May 6 at Cascades Park!  We want to particularly thank our sponsors who made the event possible, including our Title Sponsors:  Rogers, Gunter, Vaughn Insurance, Inc., evok advertising, Chuy's, & Red Hills Broadcasting.  Thanks also to the City of Tallahassee Family First Initiative, Campus USA Credit Union, Florida Blue, Barnes Capital Group, OliverSperry Renovation, Lewis Digital, Hancock Bank, and Kids Incorporated's Board of Directors for their sponsorship as well.  We also want to thank Irie Ice for their Italian icees.  We could not host this event without your support!

Thanks to all the local businesses and organizations who provided all the free children's activities!  Judging from the smiles on young faces and the sound of the laughter - a good time was had by all!  From climbing a 30 foot inflatable "rock" wall to conquering a 78 foot giant obstacle course/giant water slide, and all the other activities in-between, the creative ways that Exhibitors chose to entertain (and educate) children were appreciated!  Parents left with information about businesses they had just become acquainted with and it was clear that new "connections" were made throughout the day.  We could not host Kidsfest without the participation of area businesses and organizations willing to spend a part of their Saturday providing these free activities for children.  Thank you for your participation!

Thanks also to the families who brought and donated new & used children's books.  These will be shared with families in our Early Head Start program (we ask parents to read to their children 20 minutes each day, keep and turn in a weekly reading log to their teacher).  Your support in our reading program is appreciated!

We also want to give a shout out to the many groups who provided entertainment on the amphitheater stage throughout the day, including:

Good Sam Arts  *  Imagine at Evening Rose  *  Imani Dance Program  *  Maddox Youth Dance Company  *  Making Light Productions  *  RockStar Ravens Cheer Squad  *  Trousdell Dance Team  *  Young Actors Theatre

Special thanks to the volunteers who make Kidsfest possible; this is a labor-intensive event and your help is critical to the event's success!  Thanks to the Kids Incorporated Board of Directors for stepping up and making this event a success and to our terrific staff who put a great amount of time and effort into Kidsfest.  We could not do this event without your input, talent, time and enthusiasm!  You have helped grow this event from a small children's festival 16 years ago (on a day when the temperatures reached 105 degrees)....to a community-wide family festival that has grown by leaps and bounds!
